Emily Magpie is een muzikant uit Bristol. Ze is geliefd door BBC Radio 6, haar nieuwste EP (Be Your Own Light) heeft al meer dan 90.000 streams op Spotify bereikt. De afgelopen jaren heeft Emily getourd door het Europa: speelde als een voorprogramma voor veelgeprezen acts als This Is The Kitand Let’s Eat Grandma en  heeft op verschillende festivals gestaan zoals Green Man Festival en Boomtown Festival in het Verenigd Koninkrijk tot locaties in België, Zwitserland en Frankrijk.

OneAcre Music Presents an evening of off kilter 21st century folk music with Emily Magpie (UK), Dusty Stray (US/NL), Septimus Wilkinson (UK) plus Pilote (UK/NL) DJ SET

Emily Magpie is a Dreampop artist from Bristol. Having been championed by the likes of BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 6, her latest EP (Be Your Own Light) was described by The Line of Best Fit as ‘spine-tingly special’ and has already notched up over 90,000 streams on Spotify. Over the last few years, Emily has toured the European live music circuit: playing as a support act for acclaimed acts such as This Is The Kitand Let’s Eat Grandma, and everywhere from Green Man Festival and Boomtown Festival in the UK to venues in Belgium, Switzerland, France and as far afield as Peru and Ecuador. Emily’s back catalogue (In Movements: The Collected EPs) will be released by Micro Spiral Recordings in the autumn, and her new album is due for release early next year.

Dusty Stray heeft een alt-folk reportoire, vertolkt door de Texaanse Jonathan Brown. Dusty Stray delft in universele thema’s als onbeantwoorde liefde, gebroken hart, eenzaamheid en dood, maar (bijna) altijd met een dosisje hoop en verlossing. Klinkt als iets tussen Leonard Cohen en The Flaming Lips.

Septimus Wilkinson writes alt-folk, indie-folk songs and has performed throughout Europe. Releasing his first EP in November entitled Oh Walter on OneAcre Music.

Stuart Cullen – Pilote is a composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist who has been working in the field of electronic music and, more recently, folk and country music, since 1998.
